Hello! I’m Ethan, the photographer behind Shot by Trott. I’ve been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. When I was a kid, I constantly stole my grandma’s camera and ran the battery down because I couldn’t stop snapping photos of anything and everything. In high school, I found my place on the yearbook staff, and that’s where photography really became part of my identity. There’s few memories in high school (and often in college) where I didn’t have a camera strapped to my shoulder.

I’ve been shooting in some form since 2015, from those early yearbook assignments to creative portraits, events, and the moments that make people feel like the best version of themselves. I love color, warmth, personality, and the kind of candid energy that makes a photo feel alive. My favorite images are the ones that feel honest and a little nostalgic, like something you’d want to keep forever.

Shot by Trott is a space where I get to bring that energy to life. I want my sessions to feel relaxed and fun, like hanging out with someone who’s genuinely excited to capture you. No stiffness, no pressure, just real moments and good lighting.
